OUR MISSION
OUR MISSION
Golfing for Cancer Awareness, Inc. is an organization with a 501(c)(3) designation. The organization was established by Kenny Bryant in 2013 after the diagnosis of both throat and liver cancer of his older brother Christopher Bryant in 2013. Kenny and his family organized the first annual Golfing for Cancer Awareness golfing tournament in 2013 to raise money for cancer awareness. Golfing for Cancer Awareness, Inc. was incorporated in 2015, establishing itself as a organization aimed at raising awareness, comforting families, and fellowshipping on the golf course.
Golfing for Cancer Awareness, Inc.'s mission is to heighten the awareness of cancer and the many faces that accompany it by providing educational and preventative strategies and promoting lifestyle change education. During our functions, we also provide volunteer opportunities that will provide occasions for involvement in awareness activities and programs that increase the impact for change.
Our organization hosts a yearly golf tournament and other fundraising events and programs to raise funds to donate to the American Cancer Society, Lady of Perpetual Health, and Grady’s Cancer Unit Care Givers, which are all 501(c)(3) organizations. To maximize the impact on our current efforts to raise awareness, we seek to collaborate with other non-profit organizations that fall under the 501(c)(3) section of the internal revenue code and that are operated exclusively for educational and charitable purposes.
